Dekson Chakma works as an Associate with the Rural Livelihoods & Governance vertical at Swaniti. An alumnus of TISS, Guwahati, Dekson works on a project that is focused on understanding implementational gaps in MGNREGA among the tea garden workers in the Jorhat District in Assam. Specialized in areas of livelihood and social entrepreneurship, Dekson has experience working with various organizations in the field like women
empowerment, livelihood generation, water management, policymaking, and
the national flagship program – Jal Jeevan mission among others. He feels strongly for issues around Equality, Social Welfare, Sustainable Development, and Human Rights.
