Incentivised by the significance of sustainability and renewable energy in a contemporary and succeeding environment situation and with an aspiration to contribute to the transition of the world’s economy towards a viable, resilient, and sustainable future, Chetanaya is working at Swaniti Initiative as a Vertical Lead – Energy Transition. He is an avid biker and a travel enthusiast with a decade of experience in managing projects in the Renewable Energy, Sustainability, and Telecommunication sector across different geographies. He comes from an engineering background, with a postgraduate degree in Renewable Energy from Loughborough University, UK, with a specialisation from, the University of Zaragoza, Spain.

Pushkar is Program Manager – Chhattisgarh Green Council, where he is working towards promoting green-based sustainable livelihood opportunities in the state. His past experiences at Swaniti include working with bureaucrats, legislatures, and vulnerable communities of various states on the strengthening of govt. schemes and ensuring last-mile delivery of programs. Pushkar has a Degree in Chemical Engineering from BITS Pilani and has earlier worked in the corporate sector in Market Research and Analytics domain.

Rahul is an Associate with Swaniti under Climate & Sustainability Vertical. A postgraduate in Geology & Earth Science, Rahul is keen to work in Sustainability and specifically in water conservation. He has worked with International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and Tetra tech in water conservation in the past. During his post-graduation, he was the Vice President of the National Service Scheme (NSS) as well. He has also authored a research paper on artificial recharge endeavors including the construction of Rain Water Harvesting through several government schemes. He has volunteered in environment-based organizations like Haritma & American Association of Petroleum Geologists.

Ankit is a Senior Associate with the Climate and Sustainability vertical at Swaniti. His expertise lies in developing & accessing last-mile service delivery and policy implementation in response to the perpetually evolving socio-economic and environmental dynamics. He has completed his MS in Ecology & Environment Studies from Nalanda University and is a graduate of NIT. Previously, he has worked in the Impact Advisory and Research & Implementation roles in social impact organisations. Ankit has also been conferred with the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE)’s EE30Under30 in 2021 for his contribution to sustainable rural development in India. He is also fond of taking photographs and documenting India through his short-video documentaries.

Shubham is a passionate development professional with 4+ years of experience and currently working as a Senior Associate for Swaniti Initiative in Climate Change and Sustainability vertical with the Jharkhand team. During his university days, Shubham served as President, of Tezpur University Students’ Council, and in various other leadership positions. Shubham started his development sector career as Gandhi Fellow in Ahmedabad. Following his interest in Public Policy, later he worked in the DM Fellowship, Nandurbar. Being an avid reader, policy enthusiast, he is a keen observer of Government initiatives.

Anik works as a Project Officer with the Rural Livelihoods & Governance vertical at Swaniti. He is a development professional based out of the Pakur district in Jharkhand. An alumnus of XISS, Anik holds a postgraduate degree in Rural Management. He is assisting district administration in implementation of schemes under Pradhan Mantri Khanij kshetra Kalyan Yojna. He’s been working with the administration for the past 4 years in the areas of convergence, community mobilization, and many other critical issues pertaining to public health and education. At Swaniti, Anik works closely with the departments to provide them technical support and establish convergence at different levels for improved outcomes.

A dynamic management professional having over 5 years of diverse experience in Project Management & Business Development. Have a proven record of designing strategies and managing projects from concept to completion across the verticals of Climate Change and Sustainable Livelihoods. Holds an PGDFM degree from IIFM, Bhopal.

Drishya aspires to uplift the vulnerable communities by enhancing their environmental conditions. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. Xavier’s College and holds a master’s in Rural Development and Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad. She has previously worked with PRADAN, Barefoot College and Aatapi Seva Foundation in the past. Currently, at Swaniti, Drishya’s work entails research and documentation regarding sustainability and efficient energy transition. She also assists in team and data management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure efficient and sustainable results. Her hobbies include photography and traveling

Shahzad is here to bring change in society. He has done his B.tech(Mechanical) and rightnow persuing MBA(HR & Operation) Currently working as Green Associate to Deputy Commissioner, Bokaro(Jharkhand)

Renewable Energy enthusiast currently working as Green Associate at Swaniti Initiative. Previously worked at Sustainable India Finance facility at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh and as a Research Fellow at Centre of Excellence in Green and Efficient Energy Technology at Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi. Recently Arup has completed his PhD in the area of renewable energy from Central University of Jharkhand. He was also awarded as National Renewable Energy Fellow and published more than five research papers during his PHD tenure. His hobbies include travelling, gardening and listening to music.

Amruuta is an Associate with the Chhattisgarh Green Council working on implementing Climate Initiatives across districts. She has previously worked as a Research Consultant with Inclusion Economics India on an RCT to understand women’s mobile phone accessibility in rural Raipur. With diverse field expertise across Goa, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh in Urban Governance, Agriculture and Gender, she is passionate about policy implementation at a grassroots level. Amruuta has studied B.A. Economics from Fergusson College, Pune and M.Sc. Economics from Symbiosis School of Economics, Pune. Beyond the policy space, Amruuta is a reader, writer and enjoys cooking and CrossFit in her free time.

Every person has stories to tell—stories that will not only engage, inform, delight, and impact their surroundings, but that will also deliver on measurable life goals. Working at Swaniti has helped Satvik a lot to bring out the best out of him by learning, exploring and engaging people from local communities to the officials and that has really shaped his perspective around peoples. His learnings from the graduation has been very fruitful as it helps him to use those skills to communicate and work more efficiently. He enjoy reading books and listening to podcasts about life, history and geopolitics. Listening to some retro music with a cup of tea makes his day.

Sumit works as an associate at Swaniti Initiative. He is a climate change and risk management enthusiast currently engaged with Ranchi Administration as Green Associate. A TISS alumnus, Sumit completed his Bachelor’s degree in Geography with honors from Kurukshetra University and master’s degree in disaster management. He specializes in the use of technologies in disaster management. He previously worked with the Centre for Environment Education (CEE), Sphere India, and ETCH Consultancy. Currently, Sumit’s work at Swaniti entails providing technical and on–the–field support to the Ranchi administration to promote renewable and sustainable energy in the district. His hobbies include cooking, traveling, and mobile photography.

4+ year of work experience in Project Planning, Execution, Govt. Engagement and Academic focused in the construction, Environment and Green Technology. Amitesh’s interest lies towards the exploring the ground of governance, decoding and developing solution for impact in the domain of green technology and infrastructure development.He hold a master degree in construction technology and management from National Institute of Teacher Training and Research Centre, Chandigarh.He enjoy playing cricket and exploring world through cinema during leisure time.

An aspiring public policy professional looking to contribute in the development sector. He has completed his graduation from Symbiosis College Pune. He has completed masters from School of Public Policy and Governance, Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He has a core interest in public policy, and development. Being a student of Public Policy, he equipped with good analytical and quantitative skills. He has given credence to integrating theory in practice as theory guides practice and practice enriches a theory. He has a leisure pursuit in reading books especially non-fiction and listening to music. He follows an idea of “Not to imitate but to discover”

Zaib is an Engineering graduate from University of Kashmir & PGDM in Rural Management from XISS – Ranchi currently working for Swaniti Initiative as an Associate – Climate Change & Sustainability in Hamirpur, HP. Previously he was working with Odisha Livelihood Mission as Young Professional on various Nutrition and Livelihood Interventions in partnership with District Mineral Foundation (EY) & OMBADC Keonjhar.

Shikha is a public policy professional and a development enthusiast working in the field of climate change, livelihood generation and capacity building with the local communities of Himachal. Her present work focuses on policy implementation to enhance the green enterprise system and build resilient economic livelihood models in Hamirpur. She firmly believes in the power of communities in bringing a change and is passionate about women empowerment. With her background in Economics and work experience in policy research, Shikha has worked with different government stakeholders and senior bureaucrats during her career so far. She can be found painting in her journal with her favourite green tea in other hand outside of work.

Ashok works as the Project Officer with the Climate & Sustainability Vertical at Swaniti. He is a driven Civil Engineering with 4+ years of experience. Previously, he worked as a Site Engineer in the construction of the Operation Control Centre, Prayagraj, under ALSTOM & DFCCIL. Ashok has worked as an Assistant Engineer at Simplex Infrastructure Limited after completing his B.tech in Civil Engineering from Tezpur University. Ashok is invested in project planning, design, estimation & control. When he is not working, he likes to engage in solving complex problems.

Shipra Goswami has a proven success record of over 2 years in the field of political and management consulting. She has worked with multiple national parties and political clients of national stature. She has a sound academic training in Development Studies from Azim Premji University, Bangalore, and a Bachelors of Social Work degree from Aligarh Muslim University. She is currently working under Climate & Sustainability vertical of Swaniti Initiative with an intention to create Hamirpur as India’s First Model Green District of Himachal Pradesh.

Divija is an Analyst in the Chhattisgarh Green Council project. She is committed to critically thinking through the intersections and interactions of policy with the seemingly banal “every day”. She holds a Master’s in Public Policy and Governance from Azim Premji University, Bangalore and is also a Water Seekers’ Fellow 2021. Interested in photography, she is keen on integrating it as one of her research mediums.

Chandan works as Project Officer with Climate & Sustainability Vertical at Swaniti Initiative. Before joining Swaniti Initiative, he was working as an Accountant at Asthvinayak Healthcare Ltd. where he was supposed to look after the functioning of the account section of the company and also ensure that every operation was being done as per the guideline. In his academics, he has pursued a postgraduate degree in Master of business administration-Finance. He has expertise in Accounting, Financial Planning, Management, GST, and Statutory tax filing.  Along with this, he has major skills in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint presentations, and data analysis using pivot & other tools. When he is not working, he likes to explore places & go on bike rides. 

Vicky works as an Associate in Climate & Sustainability vertical at Swaniti. His long-term goal is to accomplish SDG 13 for a greener future for the planet. A Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering followed by a Master’s in Environmental Science and Engineering, Vicky has authored a research article, a book chapter, and a review article on microplastic pollution in freshwater systems. Before joining Swaniti, Vicky has worked in Water, Sanitation & Hygiene domain with UNICEF supported organization. When he is not working, you can find him reading autobiographies and listening to podcasts.

Ather works as an Associate with the Climate & Sustainability Vertical at Swaniti. Ather has worked as a Project Engineer for two years with Apex System Care.  A graduate in technology in Electronics & Telecommunication, he has keen interest in renewable energy. Ather is excited to work in sustainability & livelihoods with Swaniti in the state of Jharkhand.
