This webinar aims to bring together a diverse group of stakeholders to reflect on the role of Gram Panchayats (GPs) in improving access to government schemes and entitlements for tea-garden workers. Drawing from learnings under Swaniti’s work over the last 3+ years, this roundtable aims to examine what enables successful last-mile delivery at the GP level and what institutional, administrative, and coordination mechanisms can help strengthen outcomes for marginalized communities.
The session seeks to serve as a platform to exchange perspectives on local governance, institutional coordination, documentation-related barriers, trust-building, and practical pathways to make scheme delivery more responsive, inclusive, and sustainable especially in tea-garden areas of West Bengal.
