Report Overview:

India’s urban population is expected to increase to 600 million by 2031 from 285 million in 20011 .There is a growing need for cities to be adequately equipped to meet the mobility requirements of the current population as well as of those yet to join the population. Urban areas should facilitate the easy and sustainable flow of goods and people in order to sustain the desired level of economic activity. Unfortunately, transport in urban areas has faced several issues pertaining to planning, affordability and connectivity. Moreover, rapid urbanisation of cities has led to a considerable increase in the number of motorised vehicles
