Swaniti Initiative invites talented and passionate youth to participate in a policy analysis exercise on some of the most fundamental issues facing the Indian polity. Participants are invited to submit an original written piece not exceeding 500 words discussing the implementation challenges of legal and institutional reforms in the wake of the Justice Verma recommendations.
The best entry will be invited to join an eminent panel of policymakers, academics and diplomats hosted by Swaniti and the British Deputy High Commission to discuss “A Country For Women: The Road Ahead in India” on 1st of March, 2013 in Kolkata, India. Further, the top four entries will be published on the Swaniti Initiative Blog and will receive gift hampers.
Focus Area: Implementation of reforms (legal/institutional) towards an inclusive and safe India.
Word Limit: 500 words
Deadline: 24th February, 2013 at 5pm IST
- The exercise is open to people in the age bracket of 18-30 years
- Submissions should be preceded by a cover page containing the title, name of the author, address of the author, contact details and organization/university affiliation.
