Impact M&E Cell

[dropcap2]S[/dropcap2]waniti Initiative works all over India on various engagements in different constituencies and impact evaluations can measure the net change in outcomes that can be attributed to a specific intervention from the engagements. The objective is to provide a neutral assessment of engagement implementation, to identify engagement achievements and challenges, to measure engagement performance and outcomes against objectives and to provide indications of progress. This in turn will dovetail with the Knowledge Initiative and take it to the logical conclusion of evaluating various policies and government programs in India.

The main functions of the M & E Cell are:

  1. Plan, develop, implement and manage the overall framework for engagement M&E, participatory impact assessments, process monitoring, cost-benefit analysis and lessons-learned consultations.
  2. Facilitate on ground research pertaining to the Swaniti Engagements and summarize evidence of which development interventions work, when and why.
  3. Building M&E systems focused on data collection, data aggregation, data analysis and reporting (internal and external).
  4. Identifying the key performance indicators and parameters for monitoring project performance and comparing it to targets and design the format for such performance reports.
  5. Expand the initiative through running pilot evaluations for governments in India.
